    iOra contributes to UK export growth

    iOra Software Ltd has reported a 400 per cent rise in profits during the past financial year with 90 per cent of its new business income generated by exports to Australia, the United States, Mainland Europe (France and Germany) as well as new territories in Asia-Pacific (Thailand, Indonesia and Japan). The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has cited iOra as a UK export success story with export contracts over recent years valued at over USD20million.

    iOra’s patented technology enables organisations with users operating in remote or mobile locations to have access to up-to-date business critical information; iOra dramatically reduces the size of data being sent over wireless and radio networks.  Its technology has been successfully deployed on tens of thousands of machines by customers including the UK MoD, US Marine Corps, Shell and NATO.

    High profile contracts secured during 2013 include the US Navy (which was won against a raft of US competitors), the Australian Department of Defence and NATO. Announcements of other major wins are due imminently including a global peace-keeping organisation.

    iOra appoints New Chief Operating Officer

    iOra Software Ltd has appointed Philip Wye as its Chief Operating Officer (CEO Designate) to drive the business forward on a global basis. He is responsible for building the sales operation and directing product development.

    Wye has over 24 years of sales and leadership experience within the IT sector for organisations such as Sun and Cisco. He also founded and built Kaazing’s EMEA operation, offering a powerful web and mobile communication platform, to become the company’s most successful region globally in 2010 (200% growth) and in 2011.

    “I’m delighted to be joining iOra at such an important time in its development,” says Wye.  “The company is in an excellent position – it has the right product in a strong market at exactly the right time.   • iOra Launches iOra Edge Monitoring Tool

    iOra Software Ltd today launches iOra Edge. iOra Edge is a brand new monitoring tool for reporting the health and status of iOra Geo-Replicator systems and for monitoring both local and remote deployments.

    iOra Geo-Replicator is the leading replication and compression tool for organisations with employees in harsh environments where network access is sketchy or non-existent. With its patented compression and replication technologies, iOra compresses data by up to 99% and therefore enables access to data that would take much longer to replicate and deliver using other compression tools.

    iOra Edge has been designed to support the deployment of iOra replication systems to users in the most remote and hostile environment, where access to networks cannot be guaranteed and – when available – are either high latency and/or low in bandwidth. IOra Edge provides a visual display of the health and status of all monitored replication systems. Replication health is displayed in the graphical iOra Edge Hub where technical statuses may be viewed by drilling down into the data. When troubleshooting is required, iOra Edge leads the user through a set of drill down screens to the specific operation responsible for generating a warning or error event. Additionally, iOra Edge can display detailed operational parameters that can, in turn, be used to manage the schedule replication of data.
